We
offer a bespoke guiding service tailored to your needs. You
expect the best of kit and that’s what you’ll get to use.
This is the best bass fishing that money can buy in the UK.
Great fish, stunning locations, professional guiding and the
best of tackle.
Flies or lures?
We can
use either or both. We supply all the tackle you’ll need in
order to enjoy your day and will coach you in methods and
techniques. We will work with you to get the best out of
every situation that presents itself.
Working
the best fly or lure, in the correct way and in the right
spot can be challenging. The skills we coach will be yours
to take away and use again. As your guides we’ll do our best
to help you learn how to catch bass wherever you may hunt
them.
Most of
the lure work we do is topwater. The strikes and swirls are
heart stopping as fish follow and hit the lure on the
surface. Last year we saw an increase in ‘tail batting’,
where a fish will turn its tail on a lure and bash it into
the air!
We used
to import lures from Japan, America and
Arabia
but recently we have found the ultimate lure suppliers and
they are much closer to home! Monster Tackle trade out of
Jersey and the lads there are bass fishers, they know what
are the best lures to use and have gone out of their way to
source and now supply them. Take a look at their website
www.monstertackle.co.uk and uncover some of the secrets.
We now
get all of our lures through Monster Tackle there is no need
to go elsewhere. These are the best, for this quality they
are as cheap as you will get them and better still, Monster
Tackle don’t charge postage. We have a selection of Monster
Tackle lures and whilst with us you can try them all.
Fly work
tends to be close range and more discrete (but not always).
Short haired is often best and the classics are our
favourites. Our flies are made for us and are all tied on
stainless steel hooks.
We
know the fishing locations in such detail that often we can
tell you exactly where the lies are. Our approach is
stealthy and in high summer, with fish in a couple of feet
of gin clear water, it needs to be. This is targeted
saltwater fly fishing, far more challenging than any still
water trout fishing and as difficult as big river salmon
fishing, it is fly fishing at its wildest, its most dramatic
and its best. |
